School Calendar & Important Dates

Throughout the year, family members are invited to attend both classroom events (e.g., holiday parties) and school-wide events (e.g., Grandparent’s Day, Winter Concert, and Extended Day and SACC Thanksgiving Feast). We tap into the power of the home as the child’s first preschool. We build a bridge connecting home and school because we know it is optimal for children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development.

We will usually, but not always, follow the Fairfax County school calendars. Refer to the online annual school calendar for details. We will observe legal holidays and the traditional school vacations that occur at Thanksgiving, December, and during the spring. Any changes we make to the calendar in order to make up lost days (after the first 5) in accordance with our Inclement Weather Policy will be announced.
